Description
This has become one of my favorite teas to turn to during the changing of seasons. After a long winter of malty drinks and rich foods, this tea feels like spring cleaning for the body and mind. It reminds me that springtime has arrived—with flowers blooming, birds chirping, and fresh energy in the air. Oh, how I love the changing of seasons, and this tea makes me feel it with every sip.
Flavor Profile:
A base of jasmine green tea offers grassy freshness with delicate floral notes. Elderflower and heather add a sweet, airy softness, lavender brings a calming floral depth, and peppermint gives the blend a refreshing, cooling lift. Together, the flavors are light, floral, and gently minty—like a breath of spring air.
Understanding Herbalism:
Each herb in this blend adds its own subtle support:
- Jasmine Green Tea – Antioxidant-rich, with a gentle caffeine lift for clarity and energy.
- Elderflower – Traditionally enjoyed for its floral sweetness and soothing properties.
- Heather – Delicate and slightly sweet, linked with grounding balance.
- Lavender – Aromatic and calming, known for easing stress and inviting relaxation.
- Peppermint – Refreshing and invigorating, helping clear and awaken the senses.
Ingredients:
Jasmine green tea, elderflower, heather, lavender, peppermint.
Loose Leaf Brewing Tips:
Use 1 Tbsp per 8–16 oz water (170°–175°). Steep for 3–4 minutes. A lighter first steep makes for an excellent second infusion.
A Little Note:
Green teas and blends like this are sensitive to water temperature and steep time. Cooler water and shorter steeps create a gentler, sweeter cup, while hotter water or longer steeps can bring out stronger, more bitter notes. Save your leaves for a second infusion—you might love it even more than the first.
