Hibiscus Bliss

Description
This was one of the first blends I created for Mabel Esther Trading Co., and it continues to be a favorite—especially when brewed over ice and sweetened with our berry-infused sugars. It’s vibrant, versatile, and truly a joy to serve at markets and in our own home.
Flavor Profile:
Hibiscus Bliss brings together the strength of black Ceylon tea with vibrant, tart notes from hibiscus and rose hips. Rose petals add a soft floral touch, while raspberries and orange peel offer layers of juicy sweetness and citrusy zest. This blend is rich, refreshing, and complex—perfect for warm days, iced pitchers, and sweet summer moments.
Ingredients:
Black Ceylon tea, hibiscus flower, rose hips, rose petals, raspberries, orange peel.
How to Brew:
Loose Leaf – Use 1 to 1.5 Tbsp per 8–16 oz 180° to 190° water. Steep for 5–8 minutes. Save the contents for a second brew!
Iced Tea Brewing Tips:
Use 1 Tbsp for every 8 oz of water. If using one of our iced tea kits, add the loose leaf tea to the built-in steeper, then pour in hot water. Let steep for at least 10 minutes, then remove the steeper. While still warm, stir in our raspberry-infused sugar to taste. Once sweetened, seal and refrigerate for a refreshing, fruity treat!
A Little Note:
Black tea and black tea blends are known to be brisk, malty, and full-bodied because of the rich flavors that develop during oxidation. Quality loose leaf teas like ours can be re-steeped for a second cup, especially if the first brew was on the lighter side. I personally enjoy a strong brew and have left it steeping well past 8 minutes—sometimes I just forget! Thankfully, black teas are more forgiving than greens.
