Description

Moonlight Lavender Chai was created for those nights when you need a little extra support to slow down and rest deeply. I’ve always loved the warmth and comfort of chai spices, but I wanted a nighttime version—one without the caffeine buzz of black tea. This blend is my answer: a soothing, caffeine-free chai wrapped in lavender and vanilla, meant to feel like a warm embrace before bed.

Flavor Profile:

Warm, creamy, and gently spiced. Rooibos provides a smooth, naturally sweet base, while cinnamon, ginger, clove, cardamom, and fennel bring classic chai warmth without heaviness. Lavender and vanilla soften the spice with floral sweetness, and rose petals add a delicate, calming finish. Comforting, cozy, and grounding.

Understanding Herbalism:

This blend combines traditional chai spices with herbs long valued for nighttime support:

  • Ashwagandha – An adaptogenic herb traditionally used to support the body during stress and encourage balance.
  • Passion Flower – Often associated with calming the mind and easing restlessness.
  • Valerian Root – A time-honored herb traditionally used to support deep, restorative sleep.

Together, these herbs are commonly referred to as “sleepy herbs,” chosen to gently support relaxation and help the body settle into rest.

Ingredients:

Rooibos, lavender, vanilla bean, cinnamon, ginger, clove, cardamom, fennel, rose petals, ashwagandha, passion flower, valerian root.

Loose Leaf Brewing Tips:

Use 1–1.5 Tbsp per 8–16 oz hot water (200 °F). Steep for at least 10 minutes to fully release the warmth of the spices and the calming nature of the herbs.

A Little Note:

The “sleepy herbs” in this blend are traditionally used to encourage the body’s natural wind-down process. Rather than forcing sleep, they work gently—supporting relaxation, quieting an overactive mind, and helping the nervous system transition into rest. Many people find this blend especially comforting when enjoyed as part of a nightly routine, signaling to the body that it’s time to slow down, breathe deeply, and prepare for sleep.
